Sherwood-Tech Technology Services is Frank Sherwood, an Information Technology manager, developer, and support administrator for over 25 years in the education and commercial sectors.
Frank has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Texas Christian University. He served for 16 years as Computer Support Coordinator for the Neeley School of Business at TCU - a nationally ranked graduate school of business. While guiding technology innovation at the Neeley School, Frank developed curricula for MBA computer workshops and installed the first PC-based and the first networked instructional computer labs on campus. Additionally he created the university's first departmental web site in early 1994, during the infancy of the World Wide Web.
Later Frank became IT Manager responsible for the network, data center, and IT infrastructure of a North Dallas training company with annual revenues between $30-80 million. During this time he led a small group supporting as many as 80 servers and from 200-500 internal users. He ensured availability, security, and performance of database, web, email, ERP, and e-learning delivery systems on Windows and AS/400 platforms in multi-site distributed network environments.
Since 2007 Frank has done private IT consulting. Key projects have included multiple business relocations of critical network, telecom, server, and workstation infrastructure. His disaster recovery planning helped a custom manufacturing business achieve next day uptime with zero data loss after their server with virtually all current business data was stolen. When a web-enabled membership association was hacked, with malware links peppered throughout thousands of pages of content, Frank identified the source and guided remediation of hundreds of web pages to remove the damage and eliminate vulnerability to future attacks. Additionally Frank has been doing database enabled web development using ASP/ADO/JavaScript and other technologies.
